  1. I’m a nail artist and I must say with all the respect you deserve that those nails are so damage, try to choose a higher grain nail file please.

  2. I just want to keep everyone safe with this comment, I promise this isn’t to fear monger, but it breaks my heart when folks who just wanted to treat themselves to pretty nails at home and save money, end up harming their health.

    1) Pease please please do NOT use beetles gel, they have had countless cases of customers getting contact dermatitis, their polishes have VERY high levels of HEMA and IBOA which increase the risk, and it was suggested that the chemical makeup makes it impossible to fully cure their polish. **GEL POLISH THAT IS NOT PROPERLY CURED WILL CAUSE CONTACT DERMATITIS**

Any and every type of gel polish needs to be handled properly so please do the proper research and clean up correctly, do not rush or get messy with gel it is not the same as regular polish and you will put your health at risk if you do not.

Which leads me to the lamp. The lamp in this video and other tiny lamps are not powerful enough to fully cure gel polish, do not waste the money on them just to end up with contact dermatitis. Look for a LEDUV lamp that’s at least 48 watts, you do not need a $200 lamp but you need something strong enough to cure.

    Alternatives:
Gel Polish: I personally use DND, they have sales often, it’s around $8 per color, you can build up the colors over time, I usually use simple colors anyways so don’t need a ton, but they do have bundles. No it’s not going to be as cheap as beetles but you get what you pay for, and cheap gel polish is not worth the risk

Lamp: I use a lamp from Amazon that was like maybe $45 at most that I’ve had for years, just search LEDUV lamp 48 Watts and look at the reviews, their usually land around $30-$50.
